Free Classic Movie “Of Mice & Men”

at CARD’s Lakeside Pavilion on June 13 at 1:00PM

The Chico Area Recreation District (CARD) is hosting its monthly “Classic Movie” at the Lakeside Pavilion on Thursday, June 13, 2013 at 1:00 PM.

This month’s feature is the 1939 Oscar-nominated classic “Of Mice and Men” starring Burgess Meredith and Lon Chaney, Jr. Based on the1937 novel by John Steinbeck, “Of Mice and Men” is the story of the hopes and dreams of two migrant farm workers – Lenny and George – in Great Depression-era America.

“The Classic Movie series is a great way to spend the afternoon with friends, an old movie, and a bucket of popcorn,” said Melissa Pasquale, Senior Recreation Supervisor for CARD.

The free movies are sponsored by Crystal Chalmers, Au.D., Doctor of Audiology, and owner of North State Audiological Services in Chico. “Classic Movies” are shown every second Thursday of the month at 1:00 PM at the CARD’s Lakeside Pavilion facility located at 2565 California Park Drive in Chico.
